Worship
Arts:
Worship Teams:
Individuals with a heart to worship God and with vocal, instrumental,
audio or computer skills, who would like to help facilitate corporate
worship here at Countryside are invited to fill out a registration form
and meet with Pastor Tim or the worship arts assistant, Dena. All
participants who are scheduled on either of the two worship teams (8:00
a.m. or 10:35 a.m.) are expected to rehearse on the Wednesday night and
Sunday morning prior to serving in a worship service. At rehearsals, along
with music preparation, time is spent developing community, through
sharing and prayer.
Adult Choir:
Adult choir at
Countryside is seasonal and does not require an audition. Each year the
choir prepares music which contributes to the services surrounding
Christmas and Easter. Most rehearsals are usually at 4 p.m. on Sunday
afternoons and those participating meet in Room 20 for a limited number of
weeks leading up to each performance.
Drama: While
dramas are often seasonal as well, opportunities to participate in
sketches, which are used during worship services, are also available to
you.
Other: Other
opportunities, which are coordinated by simply getting in touch with Dena
Holgerson, the worship arts assistant, include:
- Special music
- Instrumental
ensembles
- Visual arts
- Signing groups
- Decorations
- Poetry and
creative writing contributions to worship services
