As pastor for Adult Ministries, one of Lynn's favorite things to do is help people grow in their faith in Christ and know His word. She coordinates the Christian Formation of Adults at Countryside, teaches Precepts Bible Studies, and trains teachers/facilitators for various adult ministries. Pastor Lynn coordinates our gifted 55plus group “Crescendo” to help older adults grow in Jesus Christ and engage in His kingdom ministry.
Vision: The goal of Christian Formation is to help people grow deeper in both their faith and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus's disciples will become mature self-feeders, engaged in life-long Biblical learning, and therefore capable of leading others to Christ and teaching them to obey Him.
We highly encourage all adults at Countryside to participate in at least one teaching ministry outside of Sunday worship (Christian Formation class, discipleship, Bible Study, Life Groups, Discipleship group, etc.). And since we grow best when we put our faith into action, we also serve Jesus on a regular basis in ministry both inside and outside of the church on a ministry team or with a ministry organization.
Spiritual gifts: leadership, administration, and teaching.
Hobbies, interests, favorites: spending quality time with people, especially family; enjoying the arts in all forms; great coffee with interesting conversation; and reading biographies and books on a wide variety of crazy topics. Favorites include being a life-long learner, following the KC Chiefs, and a bit of HGTV.
